The Journey2Work group program has been designed to help job seekers understand the correlation between good health and finding and keeping a job. The program teaches participants how to look after themselves with the goal of finding and retaining sustainable employment.

Aims of the program:

  • Explain a whole-of-person approach to health and wellbeing
  • Help participants understand how actions, thoughts and mood can influence overall health
  • Teach goal setting principles with the view of the participant establishing suitable personal goals
  • Teach productive communication skills
  • Assist the participant to develop a personal action plan and safety net.

Program outline:

Journey2Work is an 15 hour program designed to provide job seekers with the skills required to understand the link between good health and finding and keeping a job.

The program is delivered across 5 modules:

  1. Whole of person health
  2. Mental health
  3. The link between attitude and health
  4. Problem solving and communicating effectively
  5. Setting goals and making a plan

Course cost:

$43.30 per hour, per job seeker
